Alnoor University organizes an awareness session on preventing the emergence of Monkeypox.

Under the supervision of the Continuing Education Department at Alnoor University and organized by the College of Health and Medical Technologies, a special awareness session was held to address the prevention of Monkeypox, a disease that has been spreading and poses a potential threat of becoming a global epidemic. The session, held on the morning of Monday, September 16, 2024, featured three informative lectures on tackling this disease, distinguishing between its reality and the rumors surrounding it. The speakers included Dr. Nazim Alawi Al-Shahri, Director of the Quality Assurance and University Performance Department, who discussed the disease between fact and fiction; Assistant Lecturer Haqi Yazan Ismail, who provided insights on the disease, its pathogenesis, and incubation period; and Assistant Lecturer Fatima Wasfi Mustafa, who addressed the symptoms, complications, and treatment of the disease.
