Female faculty members from Alnoor University have actively opposed violence against women by raising orange flags as a symbol of awareness and solidarity.

Under the patronage of Alnoor University President, Professor Dr. Yaseen Taha Al-Hajar, and under the supervision of the Head of the Women's Affairs Department, Dr. Walaa Abdulwahid Al-Jawadi, in collaboration with the Women's Affairs Unit at the College of Education for Pure Sciences,
a campaign was held on Wednesday, December 4, 2024. The event aimed at raising awareness and combating violence against women. During the campaign, educational and motivational posters against violence were distributed.
Dr. Walaa Abdulwahid Al-Jawadi from the College of Pharmacy at Alnoor University, Assistant Professor Dr. Mona Taher Al-Naftej from the College of Health and Medical Technologies, Assistant Professor Dr. Sajida Sharif from the College of Health and Medical Technologies, and Ms. Zeina Dhibyan Mohammed Zaki from the College of Education for Pure Sciences at the University of Mosul participated.
The campaign's posters included motivational and educational messages for women, emphasizing self-confidence and promoting their role in society. The campaign highlighted that women make up a significant portion of society and bear crucial responsibilities as doctors, lawyers, engineers, teachers, and writers. They play an essential role in creating an aware generation capable of overcoming all challenges, as they embody strength, determination, creativity, and endless contributions across all fields of life.
The event also included the distribution of orange-colored badges, a symbol of the movement to combat violence against women.
The campaign took place in the gardens and courtyards of the College of Education for Pure Sciences, where orange wristbands and flowers were also distributed to the female students.
