About the Department
يُعدّ قسم التغذية العلاجية في كلية التقنيات الصحية والطبية من الأقسام الحيوية التي تُعنى بإعداد كوادر متخصصة في مجال التغذية السريرية والعلاج الغذائي، من خلال تزويد الطلبة بالمعارف العلمية والمهارات التطبيقية التي تمكّنهم من تقييم الحالة الغذائية ووضع البرامج العلاجية المناسبة لمختلف الحالات المرضية وفق أسس علمية حديثة. يركّز القسم على دراسة علوم التغذية، والكيمياء الحيوية، ووظائف الأعضاء، والتغذية في مراحل العمر المختلفة، والتغذية العلاجية للأمراض المزمنة كأمراض السكري وأمراض القلب وضغط الدم والسمنة وسوء التغذية، فضلاً عن التدريب العملي في المختبرات والمؤسسات الصحية، بما يضمن تأهيل خريجين قادرين على العمل بكفاءة في المستشفيات والمراكز الصحية والعيادات التخصصية والمؤسسات الغذائية. كما يسعى القسم إلى دعم البحث العلمي في مجالات التغذية الوقائية والعلاجية، ونشر الوعي الصحي في المجتمع حول أهمية الغذاء المتوازن في الوقاية من الأمراض وتعزيز جودة الحياة، بما ينسجم مع متطلبات سوق العمل وخطط التنمية الصحية المستدامة.
Department Objectives
This program is designed to attract outstanding students and provide them with high-level training to supply national institutions, both public and private, with qualified graduates in the fields of food technology, human nutrition, and dietetics. The program aims to achieve the following objectives: • Prepare specialists in nutrition and dietetics to fill vacancies in the health sector and meet societal needs. • Educate individuals and groups on healthy dietary choices that improve health and prevent diseases. • Apply sound nutritional principles to enhance health and prevent diseases related to malnutrition. • Excel in scientific research, particularly applied research, and promote nutritional and dietary awareness. • Design and implement training programs, as well as organize various activities related to food, clinical nutrition, and dietetics, to serve the local community through all available means.

Providing outstanding educational services in the field of human nutrition and dietetics, grounded in scientific research principles, and preparing graduates capable of meeting the local and regional labor market needs for specialized expertise in clinical nutrition and dietetics.

Excellence in education within the field of Human Nutrition and Dietetics by offering a distinguished academic program at both local and regional levels, preparing qualified specialists capable of enhancing nutritional practices in the community. This is achieved by focusing on modern trends and applications in human nutrition and dietetics while enriching scientific research.
