Alnoor University holds the First Scientific Conference on Optics in cooperation with the Association of Optical Technicians and Examiners

In the presence of Assistant Professor Prof. Dr. Yassen Taha Mohammed Ali , President of Alnoor University The Department of Optometry Technologies at the College of Health and Medical Technologies at the University, in cooperation with the Iraqi Association of Optometry Technicians and Examiners, held the First Scientific Conference on Optometry on the morning of Saturday, 29 November 2025, with wide academic and professional attendance
The conference proceedings were inaugurated with opening remarks delivered by Professor Dr. Yassin Taha Alhajjar, President of Alnoor University, and ,Professor Dr. Yassar Yahya Altamer The Dean of the College of Health and Medical Technologies, and Mr. Jarallah Mohsen Nada, President of the Iraqi Society of Opticians and Vision Examiners
Mr. Saif Aldin Ali Almashhadani, the association’s representative in Nineveh, also delivered a detailed presentation outlining the course of the conference and its scientific program, followed by the ceremony for distributing certificates and commemorative shields
After that, the keynote speakers’ session was held under the chairmanship of Dr. Shahir Khalaf, with Mr. Muhannad Mohammed Basheer participating as the session rapporteur, during which three scientific research papers were presented. In the subsequent research sessions, twelve scientific papers were discussed, addressing the various themes of the conference and highlighting the latest developments in the fields of optical technologies and vision examination
