About the Department
The study in the Department of Prosthetic Dental Techniques began in the academic year 2018–2019, with the admission of the first batch of students. This department works to prepare qualified medical personnel who are scientifically equipped to understand and manage the techniques used in the field of dental technology and innovate within it. After completing an initial four-year academic program, graduates earn the qualification of Prosthetic Dental Techniques Technician.
Department Objectives
One of the most important goals of dental prosthetic is to restore the smile to those who have lost it, helping them overcome feelings of embarrassment and enabling them to have teeth that function effectively, thereby strengthening factors that maintain their health. Additionally, it is crucial to supply the community with skilled professionals who meet societal needs and work to educate people about the benefits of dental prosthetic.
Department Vision
God created humans in the best of forms, and it is well-known that teeth are essential for assessing the harmony of facial features. Teeth are often damaged due to age or improper use, creating a demand for the field of prosthetic dentistry. This need represents the vision of the department for this scientific field.
Department Mission
The goal is to elevate the profession of dental technology and enhance the academic role of the technician, while developing the field of dental technology to keep pae with the modern advancements in this specialty. This involves providing students with the knowledge and skills needed to use these techniques in replacing lost teeth, as well as other related replacements, such as facial and jaw prosthetics, and dental implants.
Graduate Description
The Department of Prosthetic Dental Techniques works on preparing graduates who are capable of completing the process of replacing lost teeth through partial or complete dentures. The goal is to achieve genuine acceptance of the denture, enabling those who have lost their teeth to return to a normal life.
